Our initiative, fondly called the “Meal Box”, began as a relief effort—but it has evolved into something much more. Today, every box we serve is a Hope Box—a lifeline, a message, a symbol that someone cares.
Why a Meal Box Matters
For families living in slums, on footpaths, or in temporary shelters, food insecurity is a daily reality. Many parents skip meals to feed their children. Elderly citizens, the disabled, and daily wage workers are often left vulnerable and hungry.
In such situations, a single hot meal can restore energy, dignity, and hope. It brings relief to the body—and a moment of peace to the mind.
What’s Inside a Hope Box?
Each Meal Box is carefully curated to ensure:
- Nutrition: Balanced meals with rice/roti, lentils, vegetables, and occasional treats like fruits or sweets.
- Hygiene: Packed safely and prepared in sanitized kitchens by trained volunteers.
- Warmth: Delivered fresh, so that even on the coldest or most uncertain day, there’s warmth to hold on to.
We don’t just give food—we serve it with a smile and a kind word, because empathy is as essential as calories.
Who Receives It?
From children in flood-affected zones, to mothers in urban slums, to migrant workers stranded without wages, our Meal Box reaches:
